Is WordPress.org Down Today, October 9?
Mapiles.com is one of the Leading Online Classified Ads in the Philippines.Update: The dashboard of my blogs are now back to normal. Perhaps, it’s becuase wordpress.org is now up and running.. Hmnn, do you have any idea to avoid this? I mean, it’s really hard to get affected by the downtime of wordpress.org. Any idea would be appreciated.
I’m having problem when I try to log in on the admin pages of three of my wordpress sites. I keep on receiving this error: “An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request. Try again..” Fortunately, it’s accessible on the admin of this blog.
I dunno what’s going on. So i decided to visit wordpress.org. Unfortunately, I received error from firefox saying:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Cannot find server
I asked my two friends to access WordPress.org. But same results, page cannot be displayed.
Is WordPress.org down today, October 9 (October 10, Manila time?). Please share your experience below. I thought I just got errors on the admin wordpress files of my sites. But I think, it’s an api error calling on wordpress.org. Hope to hear from you.
Please also share tips to avoid api calls on dashboard, if possible (in case the issue is on wordpress.org). Thanks in advance.

@John, I think it’s now up and running.. wordpress.org is now accessible.. just wondering though on how to resolve this issue.. i mean the dashboard dependency on wordpress.org..
