Team Powerade Pilipinas is back in business as it faces Kuwait, in a game that will formally declare its quarterfinal stint on the Fiba Asia 2009 at Tianjin, China.

Coming off a loss against Iran, team Philippines is expected to win to officially enter the next round. But then, coach Yeng Guiao does not want to relax saying “Kuwait is a dangerous, pesky team and we have to stay focused and not be complacent”.

Being the no. 3 team in Group A, the Nationals may end up meeting either Jordan or Fhadi El-Katib and Lebanon in the knockout round.

But for the combatant Philippine mentor, he still feels that they can make a surprise, “The experience we had from the Iran game is going to go a long way in giving us a better chance of upsetting either Jordan or Lebanon.”

The fight against Kuwait will be at 9am, August 12.
